ALTERNATIVE FACEBOOK POST IMAGE SIZE IS 1200 x 630 PIXELS – GOOD BUT WON’T TAKE AS MUCH REAL ESTATE

The 1200 x 630 pixels image size will fit ok, however, it will not get as much real estate on a user’s feed on both pc and mobile phones as the 940 x 788 pixels. The 1200 x 630 image size can also be used as the most optimal image size featured page image when just linking a web page on a Facebook post.

In other words, if you want to share an article you have written on your website without uploading an image to the Facebook post, make your featured article image 1200 x 630 pixels.

This may not be feasible for many people as the featured page/post image size dimension may be already set. For example, most of our articles’ featured image sizes are 900 x 700 and we know it is not the most optimal image size for Facebook, but we are fine with it.

THE BEST FACEBOOK IMAGE SIZE WHEN UPLOADING MULTIPLE IMAGES

When uploading multiple images into one single Facebook post, you may want to test a different number of images and different sizes. Why? Because Facebook will crop them to try to fit them into the post. The most optimal number of images is 2 or 4 for desktop/laptop view. We do not recommend three images on a Facebook post as Facebook will crop them into a very small size for desktop/laptop view.

Below is an example of some sexy Halloween costume ideas images posted on Facebook. The images of the left post seem to take up more space than the images of the right post. This may be due to the fact the left post caption is longer, therefore reducing the size of the images.
