ABOUT THE NEW TELSTRA LOGO
In September 2011, Telstra unveiled its new brand positioning which sees its blue and orange logo move to multiple colours.
The Telstra logo does not get rid of all aspects of the original Telstra logo first registered by the company more than 18 years ago, inspired by a unique antenna dish.
After so many years of blue and orange, Telstra launched a new identity that captured the diversity of its products, services and customers and created a stronger and more emotional connection with its customers.
A new Telstra logo colour was chosen to reflect the energy, diversity and emotion that customers experience when all the different parts of their lives are better connected.
The result is a newly updated Telstra branding that incorporates the full spectrum of colours in its logo allowing Telstra to communicate with greater meaning and with the flexibility to talk to different customers at different times, in a manner that’s not only relevant but also engaging.
The new Telstra brand identity is designed to reflect the changes that have been happening at Telstra over the past two years, as the company moves to improve its horrendous customer service.

The newest Telstra logo has continued in its current shape and features a new colour palette incorporating orange, green, turquoise, blue, purple and magenta.
The current official Telstra logo will be used for all customer groups including consumer, business, enterprise and government.
The latest Telstra logo has been applied across thousands of digital and physical items from uniforms to service vehicles to packaging.
The Telstra marketing team minimised the costs associated with rolling out the new Telstra brand identity by employing a gradual approach.
The Telstra CEO of the time, David Thodey, said the changes to Telstra’s visual identity were designed to create a stronger and more emotional connection with Telstra’s customers.
WHO DESIGNED THE TELSTRA LOGO?
The current Telstra logo was designed by DDB Group’s specialist brand agency Interbrand in 2011.
