TripAdvisor decided to give Ollie the Owl a “sensible” makeover in 2020.

Apparently, after years of questionable trips 🌍✈️ and reviews that read like a bad trip report 📝, they figured the old logo, with its trippy eyes 👀 and technicolor chaos 🎨, was sending the wrong message. Who knew an owl could look so… disoriented? 😜🦉

Enter the new minimalist, monochrome Ollie, who looks like he just woke up from a nap 😴 and decided to keep it simple. No more eyes that scream “I’m on something” 😆 just clean lines ✂️ and a vibe that says, “I’m here to help you find overpriced hotels 🏨 and sketchy tours 🚌.” 🦉💸

They even swapped out the old jumbled font for Trip Sans 🔤, because what’s more trustworthy than a made-up typeface? 😅 And of course, they kept Trip Green 💚, because nothing says “reliable” like a color that screams “buy now, pay later“. 💳💸
