4. Have an AdSense account that is working

AdSense is Google’s advertising program that pays users to put ads on their websites or videos. To create an AdSense account, users must be at least 18 years old and have a Gmail account.

Youtubers must have at least 1000 subscribers.

2. Have at least 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months

In addition to having 1,000 subscribers, users must have at least 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months. In other words, users need to have a consistent and substantial audience who watch their videos regularly.

For Youtubers who use the Super Chat or Channel Membership monetisation features, they can join the Youtube Partner Program if they have:

  • At least 3 public uploads in the last 90 days, and
  • Either 3000 watch hours in the past year or 3 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.

1. Meet the technical requirements

You must meet YouTube’s technical requirements to participate in YouTube’s Partner Program. These requirements include having a high-quality camera, microphone and reliable upload process.
