MONDAYS ARE AMAZING

A phrase took your attention today. It read: “Mondays are amazing. It is your life that sucks“.

SPOON FED

Your boss tells you what to do, how to talk to your team, when to talk to them, how to report your progress and present it.

The alarm wakes you up.

The yoga teacher tells you how to breath.

Your personal trainer gives you a plan to have a concave stomach.

Your healthy lunch is served in a plastic container, you have no idea who planted, cared for it or harvested your food.

If you are not that lucky you might be buying that industrialised devious eatable rubbish found in most supermarkets.

Another fucking hour wasted with a customer service rep.

You drove almost two hours today. You googled “how to carbon offset your driving” but seems to complex to action.

The alternative: an invisible and anonymous experience on a bus or train. No smiles.

You got home and your partner might have to still tell you how to turn him/her on.

You move from your boring office to another air-coned, artificial lighted, visual and sound polluted shopping mall to kill time.

Your mouth is too full, you cannot even swallow or vomit.

LOST

You blame your boss, your partner, your kids, your parents, other drivers, your neighbours for your bad, hard and terrible Monday.

Your boss is wielding her delicate prowess to make you do what she wants.

Questions are welcome only to deaf ears.

You are tired and sluggish, Monday sucks and stinks.

You are too tired and fucked to cook dinner, no energy for sex.

It has been too cold, too hot, too salty, too crowded, too quiet, too incorrect, too impolite, too scary, too stressful, too complicated.

You are sad, frustrated and annoyed – no apparent reason – others have to put up with your shit.

The guru, the coach, the mentor, the psychologist are not available tonight, there is no solution, no quick fix.

Your phone has been glued to your hands, Instagram and Youtube gives temporal relief.

WINE MAKES YOU HAPPIER THAN CAKE

Both are crap.

One surely makes you happier ha!

You are sore. You demand the pool, the holiday, the buzz.

You unwittingly keep “correcting” others, including your boss.

Your manager is vague. You are precise, focused, specific.

You are right. but you do not listen…

You know you might get the sack.

NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW

Work seems on track, home is in order, the bills are paid.

Squiz a run with your bestie, no time to just only chill.

OMG WHAT TO DO?

You get finally some free time, some space.

You are stress out of not being stress out.

You keep buying shit you do not use – It does not matter –

There is plenty of free parking tonight, but never too close to destination.

You still need to walk. WTF!

The bars are close. The booty call did not answer.

CRESCENDO

You wake up.

No clock. The iphone battery is dead.

You look at your hands…

Your fingers are ready.

You cycle that dirt track, got lost, stop in that random place.

There is no signs. Anyway, you open that closed door.

There is nothing you can buy but you can indeed take anything if you wish.

Something has taken your attention, it amazes you, you love it and you feel you wanna play with it.

You have brought it home and two days later you noticed it changes form, colour, smell and texture!

Dumped as rubbish, it is your secret treasure, a tasty ingredient ready for your creation.

You do not believe in luck but you now feel fortunate.

Your mouth is now shut, your playful hands start to build joy.

The urgent and the important went for a looongg dip to the ocean.

You laugh and you play more.
