Instagram Ads are no different to normal Instagram posts in terms of Instagram sizes and dimensions, with square, portrait, landscape, Instagram stories and reels available to turn into a paid ad.

When creating Instagram ads, I can recommend using the most optimal Instagram portrait image photo size, as this will take up the most screen real estate when your target audience is scrolling through their feed, giving the ad more chance of your Instagram ad being visible!

The most optimal Instagram ad size and dimension is the Instagram portrait size: 1080px X 1350px (4:5)

✪ Expert tip: Most social media managers are using either the portrait size 1080 x 1350px ( aspect ratio 4:5) or the landscape size 1080 x 608px (1.91:1) as these two image sizes can also be used for:

  • Facebook & Instagram organic posts
