FACEBOOK COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

We marketers are seeing how technology is empowering leaders around the world to take action and bring their communities closer together. This work comes with unique challenges and requires a blend of vision, care, dedication and empathy. But finding the resources and having the leadership skills to increase impact is a constant challenge for community leaders, and Facebook wants to address that need. Facebook offers the Facebook Community Leadership Program (FCLP) to address the needs identified by community leaders.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The program is for social and community leaders with a track record of building extraordinary communities. Facebook has already received over 6,000 applications and have selected people from all around the world to participate in the program this year.

HOW FREQUENT FACEBOOK IS TAKING NEW APPLICATIONS?

2018 is the pilot year of this Facebook community leadership residency and fellowship program. It is likely it will be open in 2019.

HOW APPLICANTS ARE SELECTED?

Every application is evaluated in a multi-phase consideration process to ensure eligibility, including compliance with the terms and policies governing the use of Facebook apps and services. A diverse selection committee is assembled from external advisors and Facebook staff to make final selections. Final selections will be based on applicants’ past work building community and the merit of each grant proposal.

This global social initiative will give over 100 participants from around the world the support, funding and tools, funding to help them be the best leaders their communities.
